Rebekka Åsnes Sagild

Summary

Rebekka Åsnes Sagild is a Senior Researcher at the Norwegian Institute for Defence Studies (IFS), and part of the IFS Asia Programme. Her research focuses on Chinese domestic and foreign policy, with a particular focus on elite politics and Sino-Russian relations.  

Rebekka Åsnes Sagild holds a PhD in Modern China Studies (Chinese politics) from the University of Oslo. She has previously been a guest researcher at CRESPPA in Paris, NIAS in Copenhagen, and Max Planck in Berlin. 

Her work has appeared in outlets such as Journal of Contemporary China, China Perspectives, and Journal of Chinese Governance.
